Tom is a photographer, participatory practitioner and academic, specialising in creating meaningful images about humanitarian and environmental issues through photography and video.
Tom has amassed specialist expertise in developing creative processes that explore the roots of issues that impact on these communities. He works collaboratively with marginalised groups and communities in post-conflict settings, and regions impacted by climate change (including Rwanda, South Sudan, Sierra Leone, Bangladesh, Burundi and Morocco).
Tom’s publications range from The Economist and The Independent to Italian Vogue, and the Lancet. Exhibitions include solo shows in Westminster and Rwanda, and the Taylor Wessing Photo prize at the National Portrait Gallery.
